Mountain Tots Capital Campaign

In honor of Mountain Tots 50th Anniversary, we are building a brand new facility!

Mountain Tots Preschool has been proudly serving Eagle’s youngest residents since 1974. Hundreds of students have come through our doors to learn, grow and play. Each year our community grows and we are honored to serve as a high quality learning environment and community hub for families.

 

The Mountain Tots Board is thrilled to announce that in 2024, Mountain Tots will have a permanent home at 432 W. 5th Street, just a few blocks away from where we are now. After nearly 40 years in our current location, the time has come to find a new home and expand to provide care for more children. This location allows Mountain Tots to build a brand new building to best fit educational needs of preschoolers and toddlers. In this much larger facility, we will be able to expand care to younger children and serve more families.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

This is a huge endeavor to take on. The current estimate of the finished project is $2.5 million which includes the purchase of the land, the new building, an awesome playground and back yard area, landscaping, paving, foundations, new materials for the rooms, air conditioning, solar power, and much more. Please donate what you can to ensure Mountain Tots can continue to provide high quality early childhood education in Eagle.

THE BUILDING

We have partnered with a company that specializes in prefabricated buildings so expedite the process versus building a stick built building. Below is a basic rendering of the property with the building included. We will be going from 2 classrooms with a total capacity of 30 kids per day to 6 classrooms offering more preschool spots and adding 20 spots for toddlers!

A NEW BUILDING ALLOWS US TO:

  • Keep tuition rates low

  • Create 20 new spots for toddlers

  • Add 30 more preschool spots

  • Reduce operating and maintenance costs

  • Add security measures to the campus

  • Build a better outdoor space for play and learning

  • Provide our staff with above-market wages and benefits

  • Recruit and retain the best early childhood staff

  • Introduce more cutting edge curriculum and expand STEM

  • Eliminate the financial strain of increasing rent and lease renewals

  • Build tuition assistance funds for qualifying families

  • Create scholarships for Mountain Tots graduates headed to college, and individuals pursuing careers in early childhood education

  • Add air conditioning and a laundry facility on site

  • Add a full kitchen to expand projects and learning

  • Fund a capital maintenance and repair reserve account to maintain the building

  • Remain in downtown Eagle and centrally serve down-valley families

Every donor who gives $100+ will be recognized in our permanant donor tree to be located outside facing Grand Ave. Donors who give larger amounts will be memorialized in larger ways. We are happy to keep donations anonymous or customize your memorialization or dedication however you prefer.

  • $250,000 - $499,000: Classroom naming recognition plus 10 years of priority enrollment,   6    4 available

  • $150,000 - $249,000: Playground equipment, 3 available

  • $100,000 - $149,000: Bench, small playground element, or permanent garden element, 6 available

  • $50,000 - $99,000: Engraving on a walkway stone

  • $25,000 - $49,000: Name on a Large Stone

  • $10,000 - $24,000: Name on a Small Stone

  • $2,500 - $9,999: Name on an Acorn

  • $1,000 - $2,499: Name on Large Gold Leaf

  • $500 - $999: Name on Medium Silver Leaf

COLORADO CHILD CARE TAX CREDIT:

Did you know that donations to the Mountain Tots Preschool capital campaign could qualify for a 50% Colorado tax credit on personal or business income? The CCTC does not apply to in-kind contributions, contributions of stock or gifts made from a donor advised fund.
